4th of July

Our annual trip to Missouri went well. For the first time this year the kids were all old enough to enjoy swimming in the lake. I would say they spent at least 70% of their time jumping off the dock and swimming. Overall it was a great trip. It went by way to fast. This first picture was taken while I was sitting on the back deck. Keith's parents house is located in a cove. To the far right you can see the beginning of their dock. It is a four boat dock and is great.

Keith's sister brought a jet ski and Herb pulled the kids behind it in the tube. Pierce loved it. He was smiling the whole time. It didn't matter if he got splashed or bounced, he couldn't stop smiling.

The kids loved driving the boat with Pop Pop. Pierce was especially thrilled by it. He pretty much did it the whole time he was in the boat.

These are Pierce's two girlfriends, Amanda and Megan. They loved him and....he loved them. Yes, he is starting early but oh well.

Max is the newest member of the family. He is six months old. He is sooo cute. I couldn't stop kissing his cheeks and many chins. Now Elle has another member of the blue eyed club.

As always we needed to get the traditional pictures of the cousins together. Unfortunately with the training this year I was not able to make the 4th of July outfits. I felt really bad about it and Elle didn't help any. Oh well, I will start it back up next year.

Elle and MacKenzie are exactly two year apart. Believe it or not, they share the same birthday.

The great thing about the Midwest is you can light off all the fireworks you want. Here is just one pick of the kids with sparklers. They loved helping with the fireworks. Since we bought $100 worth, it lasted for several days. What we found was the $25 dollar package was the best every. I think we will be buying more of those next year.

Every year my friend Bonnie comes to see me when we are in town. We first met in 1993 when I was an nurse extern. We started working together shortly after and have been friends ever since. We always joke every year about how horrible our pictures together at the lake are. This time is no exception. I had just got done doing my hour swim and have a nice swim cap line. Oh well, at least we get to spend time together every year. She is having the best year of her life and I am so happy for her.

This is Bonnie's new boyfriend Bob. They have been dating over nine months. I have a feeling things will be more permanent soon.

And of course, I can't resist a photo of my blue eyed girl. Wow. I am mesmerized.
We bought this inflatable raft for 20 bucks at the dollar store. It was the best purchase we made the whole trip. The kids loved it.

How handsome is this kid?

Here is a little video of the kids playing in the water. I can't tell you how much they loved it this year. We usually go to the local water park but because they enjoyed the swimming off the dock so much we didn't have to. Pop Pop made it a lot of fun too.

Henley's Vacation

In case we thought Henley missed us while we were gone, think again. Looks like he was enjoying himself. I will be back this weekend with pictures from our trip. In the mean time, enjoy.
